The Advertisement Board is responsible for determining the principles to be followed in commercial advertisements and making arrangements to protect the consumer against unfair commercial practices, conducting examinations and audits when necessary, stopping or correcting with the same method according to the results of the examination and audit, or imposing administrative fines or, if deemed necessary, a precautionary suspension penalty of up to three months.

With the proposed amendment to the law, it is intended to make it possible for the Advertisement Board to take a “decision to remove content and/or block access” in addition to suspending.
